Lt. G.S. Murray

Lt. G.S. Murray, formerly of the 5th Dragoon Guards, was posted to No.2 Section of No.3 Troop of No.6 Commando on 26th June 1944, but was Wounded In Action (WIA) on 1st July 1944, when a shell fell into the No.3 Troop lines at Le Plein.

He returned to No.3 Troop and was a very popular officer, but was noted as again being WIA prior to 7th February 1945.

He was later promoted to Captain and received the Military Cross.
